The Science Building was completed in the Spring of 2001. The $30.8 million dollar facility includes state-of-the-art laboratories for science classes, distance learning facilities, lecture halls, classrooms and a planetarium. The planetarium offers shows to the public as well as thousands of K-12 students. The state-of-the-art planetarium features a 64-seat theater with a 40-foot dome and utilizes 18 dual function slide projectors, two color video projectors, a digital projector and an enormous sound system.
