Originally a mess hall, White Memorial Chapel serves as the campus hall for Catholic Mass and nondenominational Christian services. It also includes an Islamic prayer room. For other religious services, transportation to area synagogues or houses of worship can be arranged by contacting Reverend William Wick at his office in the chapel.
History: Major donor Eugene L. White ‘14 ‘15 helped fund the construction of White Hall. Raised in 1941 and named in his honor, it originally served as a mess hall. After Harmon Hall opened as the new campus dining center, in 1955,White Hall was converted to Norwich’s first chapel with the addition of a steeple clock, chimes and altar and renamed.
