Opened in August 2014, the $26 million Dalrymple Hall civilian dormitory accommodates 286 students. Amenities in the 84,204-square-foot, energy-efficient building include lounges, exercise and game rooms and laundry facilities. Dalrymple Hall joins South Hall as part of a larger planned complex that will eventually house 750 students in total.
The residence hall is named in honor of current university trustee Peter Dalrymple ’65 and his wife Marlene ‘66, of Houston, Texas, in recognition of their lifetime of philanthropy to the university.
