    1. Robert A. Jones ’59 House

Walking behind Proctor and past the tennis courts, you’ll find the Robert A. Jones ’59 house, more often called RAJ. From a humble spot on the corner of campus, you can explore, and impact, the world.

The RAJ is home to the Rohatyn Center for International Affairs. The center advances MIddlebury’s goal of progressing global understanding with core linguistic and cultural competency.

This often takes place in the large upstairs conference room during seminars, lectures, and roundtable discussions with global experts and political actors.

The center also holds its own annual interdisciplinary international conference, as well as a student‑designed, ‑planned, and ‑executed international conference with financial and logistical support from the center and its student advisory board.

A new series of programs focuses on six pressing international and global arenas: Anti-racist Theory and Action around the Globe, Global Economics, Global Health Challenges, Global and International History, Security and Global Affairs, and Power, Wealth, and Global Political Economy.
