  1. Diversity, Inclusion and Spiritual Life

    1. 70 Hillcrest Road (Queer Studies House)

Middlebury’s academic and special interest houses allow sophomores, juniors, and seniors to live in a community of students with a common interest. In these spaces, students work together to pursue their passions, advance their study, and share in discovery. The efforts of these communities resonate across campus.

Members of the Queer Studies House, often abbreviated to QSH (pronounced kwish), are commited to the academic advancement of queer studies. Five students, of any and all gender and sexual identification, live in five singles, and use the house, and its common spaces, to study gender and sexuality and their interplay with race, class, ability, and geography. This work advances their mission of promoting diversity and critical thinking.

Through house activities, meetings, and events, students study together, develop their activist skill sets, and build community bonds. The house offers a safe space to all students and a launchpad to start conversations across campus.
