    1. Wright Memorial Theatre

When a visiting troupe comes to campus, or a student-led production is finally ready for its run, community members and students pour into the 400-seat auditorium of Wright Memorial Theatre.

Performers have access to a lighting grid, full-fly rigging system, removable forestage, and the fully equipped scene shop to put on professional-caliber performances that offer opportunities to learn and study production as well as acting.

A grand mural by artist Sabra Field, Class of 1957, “Cosmic Perspectives,” spans the massive exterior wall of the backstage and lighting facilities. While the mural reminds viewers of the balance between the manmade and natural world, its existence as the product of one student’s efforts to cover what she saw as the largest canvas on campus with art, reminds other students that when they follow their interests, they’ll find support at the College.
