      1. Hepburn Hall

On a brisk fall morning, many Hepburn students shuffle quickly from their dorm a short distance to the warm glow of Proctor Dining Hall and unlimited coffee and orange juice.

The first-year dorm has 89 singles and 40 doubles across its five stories with a main kitchen and lounge, as well as a few other lounges sprinkled throughout the building.

Other students who live outside the building may find themselves walking into Hepburn to attend a lecture in the seminar room, or to the basement headquarters of the College newspaper, the Middlebury Campus.

The building also houses the Hepburn Zoo, a black box theater where the building’s namesake, Alonzo Barton Hepburn, Class of 1871, once stored his hunting trophies.
