Many upperclassmen jump at the opportunity to live at the Atwater Residence Halls, better known as the Atwater Suites. Suites of mostly four and five students make up the majority of housing options within each hall, along with a handful of singles.
The suites feature a bathroom, kitchen, and living room perfect for hanging out, making dinner with your friends, or having a few people over.
While the buildings opened in 2004, you may notice reflections of older buildings on campus. The towers for the buildings’ ventilation systems peek out the roofline, creating a profile quite similar to the chimneys of Painter Hall.
These towers are part of an advanced ventilation system that keeps heating and cooling costs for the massive buildings low. High ceilings, masonry walls, east-west aligned building faces, and other design features also help keep the residences efficient and comfortable.
