From the center of the Bostwick Family Squash Center, as diffuse light pours in from the massive overhead skylights, one can see the competition taking place in each of the nine squash courts.
The 18,000-square-foot squash facility is frequently used by students on the men’s and women’s squash teams, students who played growing up, and those who have never played before. Many students make use of the rackets, balls, and shoes left behind to be shared by all who are interested in playing, or learning to play, the sport.
The center has extensive seating, a built-in sound system, and separate gym and cardio space. The facility is also outfitted with wood from sustainably managed forests, and features a “green” roof covered with thousands of sedum plants. These efforts, in part, contributed to the facility earning a LEED Platinum certification.
