Pepin is part of the Nelson Recreation Center building and shares the arched wooden beams of the roof. Rather than a multisport floor though, the gymnasium has a hardwood floor that is home to Middlebury’s men’s and women’s basketball as well as women’s volleyball.
The gymnasium has bleachers for up to 1,200 spectators that can retract to give students, in noncompetition times, access to the three full basketball courts.
