Students sitting inside or outside Proctor Dining Hall in the spring and fall will hear the soft thwack of tennis balls as they eat their lunch. The nine Middlebury tennis competition courts sit centrally on campus next to Proctor and behind Mead Chapel.
Students often watch the games from the hill beside the courts, and many students play for fun when the teams are not practicing or competing.
