Those from warmer parts of the country and world may be unfamiliar with the sport of paddle tennis, which is most frequently played in the winter. The game is similar to lawn tennis, but played with a much lower net, on a much smaller court, surrounded by a metal cage. The game is played in singles and doubles and even allows players to play shots off the cage walls.
Middlebury’s two raised and lit paddle courts sit behind the Nelson Recreation Center and are open to be used by all students.
