      Welcome to the CSUB Family! Let's get ready for an adventure around the campus. Today, we're going to explore some exciting spots that will be your go-to places during your time here. From hidden gems to the bustling hubs, this self-guided campus tour is designed to give you a taste of what our university has to offer.

    2. Administration

      Administration Let's start our journey by checking out the administration building. This is where the magic begins on your very first day. This is where you'll get all of your essential details about your employment - believe me our HR team is super friend and ready to help you out. 

      Benefit and Payroll Services is also located here.

    3. Administration East

      Let's head to our next stop—the Cashier's Office! Here, you'll be able to grab your parking permit and collect your first paycheck, also known as a "warrant" (The good kind). When you attend the `Runner Starting Line, our new employee orientation, you'll receive all the important details you need to launch your career at CSUB - and so much more. Keep an eye on your email for a virtual invitation coming your way!

    4. Walter Stiern Library

      Let's make our way to the Walter Stiern Library! Impressive at five stories high and enclosing 150,000 square feet, it stands as the largest single structure on the CSUB campus. Inside, you'll find a vast collection of books and online catalogues, all readily available to our employees.

      If you are in need of any IT assistance, head to the lower level where the ITS Service Center is located. If you get lost, don’t worry. Just ask for help, everyone is super friendly. This is also where you can get your `RunnerCard, which serves as your employee ID, payment card and access key. Be sure to bring your best smile for the photo!

      And, when you need a refreshing break, you'll find Walter's Coffee and Snack Bar waiting on the 1st floor right next to where you check out your books.

    5. `Runner Cafe

      Welcome to the `Runner Cafe, a food court open to the entire campus! Students, faculty, and staff are invited to unwind, study, or socialize without any purchase obligations. When you're here, you can indulge in a light snack or a full meal! From full grill and rotating chef station to Bento Sushi, made-to-order pizza, pasta, and a vibrant salad bar, you can find what you’re craving.

    6. Student Union and Bookstore

      The Student Union, a hotspot on campus, offers versatile rooms ideal for hosting meetings and fairs—perfect for our employees to connect and collaborate. And hey, make sure to keep your RunnerCard handy, as it comes with an extra perk: a 10% discount at the Bookstore! Treat yourself to some merchandise and show off your `Runner pride. Plus, while you're here, don't forget to recharge with a cup of Starbucks coffee or grab a plate from Panda Express!

    7. Student Rec Center

      The Student Recreation Center isn’t just for students. Staff also have the option to join as a member. Get ready to explore a world of active possibilities! SRC offers a range of activities, including rock climbing, group classes, and a fully equipped fit floor with free weights. Need to stay mobile? We've got you covered with a bicycle renting option.

      But that's not all! As an SRC member, you'll have access to our exclusive Wellness Suite. Experience the ultimate comfort with our napping pods and unwind with the soothing massage chairs. For those seeking inner peace, our meditation corner is the perfect spot to find tranquility. The best part? You can reserve these amenities online. They have all kinds of membership options to fit your schedule and budget!

    8. University Police

      Our next stop is the University Police Department.

      Need assistance? Don't hesitate to call University police at 654-2111. They are always here to help, and if they can't, they'll connect you with someone who can. Safety is a priority, and the University Police provides a safety escort service to any location on campus.

      Vehicle troubles? They've got your back! Just make a call from any public phone, on-campus phone, or emergency phone, and they'll assist you in locating emergency repair services or even jump-start your car.

      Also, if you happen to lose something valuable, remember that the University Police maintains the campus lost and found.

      They're your go-to team for all kinds of assistance, so don't hesitate to reach out and say “Hi” when you see them around!

    9. Science III

      If you find yourself hungry on the south side of campus, head to the Science III Building where you'll find Which Wich Sandwich Shop—a spot to grab a delicious custom-crafted sandwich. Enjoy!

    10. `Runner Express

      Next up is the Runner Express—a convenient pit stop that's got you covered! Located on the iconic Red Brick Road, the pathway that runs through the center of campus, Runner Express offers a nice selection of goodies.

    11. Print Shop

      Let's make a quick stop and say “Hi” to the friendly staff at the Print Shop. Whether you need to order prints, create eye-catching posters, design personalized banners, or get help with your designs, this is the place for you!

    12. Food Trucks

      Our final stop is the food truck spot, conveniently located near the Humanities Office Building. A rotating lineup of food trucks offers a delightful variety of cuisines. Visit the dining services page for up-to-date info on the offerings. And guess what? You can also use your RunnerCard to pay!
