    1. Morristown Campus

      Want to learn more about Walters State?  A great place to start is with a visit to the Morristown campus which has served as Walters State's main campus since it opened in 1970.

      The Quad on the Morristown campus is the central spot where you can meet up with friends, relax on a beautiful day or see the day-to-day activities of our students.

      Don’t be surprised to see some local food trucks when the sun is shining!

    2. Dr. Jack E. Campbell College Center (CCEN)

      The Dr. Jack E. Campbell College Center is often considered the heart of the campus.

      Here, students can purchase textbooks or some Walters State swag in the bookstore. The Campus Café is a great place to eat a meal or grab a quick bite. A complete game room (no quarters needed)  is the perfect place to meet up with friends. And the “Z” Buda Assembly Hall and Gymnasium hosts the Senators and Lady Senators basketball games and volleyball matches.

      The College Center also houses important student offices such as Distance Education (check out our dual enrollment options), the Student Success Center (to develop your educational plan or meet with an academic advisor) and the IET Help Desk.  The president’s office is in this building and many of his famous selfies are taken here.

    3. Judge William H. Inman Humanities Complex (HUM)

      Sounds of a choir or a theatre production often greet visitors to the Judge William H. Inman Humanities Complex, Student art creations line the walls.

      The Division of Humanities encourages individuals to analyze, interpret and refine their experiences as they seek to determine who they are and what their lives should mean.

      Students pursuing programs in Humanities have options in art, dance, English, foreign language, liberal arts, mass and speech communications, music, music industry, musical theatre, philosophy, theatre and women’s studies.

    4. Dr. Wade B. McCamey Student Services Building (SSB)

      Walters State provides services that give students the best chance to succeed. Student support staff working In the Dr. Wade B. McCamey Student Services Building can help with almost any questions.

      Whether a problem related to admissions or financial aid needs to be solved or a tutor in calculus is needed to save the day, we are here!

    5. R. Jack Fishman Library (LIB)

      In addition to being a great place to study, the R. Jack Fishman Library is a center point for students. They can access library services on campus and online, take advantage of free research coaching, printing and access to textbook reserves.

      Students can enjoy the open computer labs equipped with the latest technology or focus on individual or group study in one of the multiple study rooms or individual pods.

      If students do not have access to a laptop, MiFi or TI-81 calculator, no problem! Laptops, MiFi(s) and TI-81 calculators can be checked out for use each semester. And, don’t forget to check out all the student activities the Library provides each semester too!

    6. McGuffin-Jolley Natural Science Building (NSCI)

      Are you looking to develop the ability to research, evaluate, critically interpret and analyze information all while building communication and decision-making skills? Check out the Division of Natural Science at Walters State which offers academic programs in Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Physics, and Pre-Professional Health programs.

    7. Division of Health Programs

      The Division of Health Programs trains students who plan to dedicate themselves to healthcare careers. This division provides quality, innovative, futuristic programs. Graduates are job-ready and prepared to meet the demands of the health care industry.

      Health programs at Walters State include: Health Information Management, Health Sciences, Nursing, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Pharmacy Technology, Physical Therapist Assistant, Respiratory Care and Surgical Technology.

      Those pursuing nursing at Walters State should join our Student Nursing Association which provides student professional development activities and community service related to health care. Clubs also exist for occupational therapy assistant, physical therapist assistant and respiratory care majors.

    8. Clifford H. "Bo" Henry Center for Business & Technology (TECH)

      Those searching for a high-quality education to pursue your business, industry or agriculture career goals need to check out our divisions of business or technical education located in the Clifford H. “Bo” Henry Center for Business and Technology.

      Accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs, the Division of Business offers degrees and courses in the following academic disciplines: accounting, business, culinary arts, economics, paralegal studies, management, hospitality management, and marketing. 

      Students who are in pursuit of associate of applied science degrees, technical program certificates and associate of science degrees designed to transfer to four-year institutions in disciplines such as agriculture, computer information technology, computer science, electrical engineering technology, engineering systems technology, engineering technology or production horticulture will benefit from this division’s strong educational background and variety of career experiences.

      Clifford H. "Bo" Henry Center for Business & Technology also houses the Division of Health Programs, which trains students who plan to dedicate themselves to healthcare careers.     9. Doggett Math & Behavioral/Social Sciences Building (MBSS)

      Housing the Divisions of Math and Behavioral and Social Sciences, this location on the Morristown campus, provides opportunities for students to master a strong body of knowledge for the future.

      Whether your focus is mathematics you need to function in an increasingly diverse, complex and global society or if you are in search of curriculum designed to examine social aspects of human culture that relate to the individual, the group, and organization in the environment, check out the 20+ academic programs available. Oh, and while you are there, take a break between classes to grab a snack or hang out with friends in one of the centralized student lounges.

    10. East Tennessee Regional Public Safety Center (PSC)

      Exciting careers in law enforcement, fire service and emergency medical services start here.

      The East Tennessee Regional Public Safety Center is located across the highway from the Walters State Morristown campus. The Center includes a driving course where students learn tactical maneuvers and emergency medical services where students learn lifesaving skills.

      The Division of Public Safety provides educational opportunities of the highest quality that will produce graduates ready to meet the demands of the communities and citizens they serve.

    11. Niswonger Campus

      The WSCC Niswonger Campus (formerly Greeneville/Greene County Campus) serves as an extension of the main campus in Morristown offering both credit and non-credit courses to the citizens of Greeneville, Greene County and the ten-county area of upper East Tennessee. The campus allows students who are geographically remote from the main campus to take classes closer to their homes.

      The college’s general education core classes are available at this campus, and it also provides several classes for certificate programs. The Niswonger Campus is home to the East Tennessee Regional Law Enforcement Academy which runs four 9-week programs annually. This campus also offers health profession degrees in the following areas: Respiratory Care, Nursing, Occupational Therapy Assistant, and Physical Therapy Assistant. Classrooms for Walters State’s Workforce Training division and Greeneville’s GED/HiSet program are also located here.

      The building is equipped with twenty smart classroom, three video conference classrooms, a tutoring lab, and a state-of-the-art nursing simulation lab. In addition to its instructional space, the building also contains several areas for students to meet and study. There are an outdoor pergola and amphitheater as well as an indoor 202-seat lyceum at the campus. Several faculty and administrative offices are also part of this facility.

      Over 1000 degree-seeking students are enrolled at the WSCC Niswonger Campus each semester. The students are served by approximately forty-one full-time faculty/staff members and over twenty adjunct faculty each semester.The facility was renamed the Niswonger Campus and dedicated on September 26, 2019.

    12. Walters State Niswonger Campus (WSGC)

      Take advantage of the rich learning environment offered at Walters State. With a faculty to student ratio of 19:1, professors engage students in exploring ideas, solving complex problems, offering hands-on experiences and constructing knowledge needed for challenging future careers. 

      The Walters State Niswonger Campus provides state-of-the-art facilities where students can prepare for exciting futures.

    13. Sevier County Campus

      Take in the beautiful Smoky Mountains views at Walters State’s Sevier County Campus.   Currently, four buildings house a variety of general education and select technical courses.

      They feature the latest video streaming and instructional technology and students can enjoy both indoor and outdoor spaces when it is time to study, hang out with friends or participate in one of the many student activities hosted on campus each semester.

    14. Cates-Cutshaw Hall (ACAD)

      As a part of the college's overall mission to provide leadership and academic opportunities to the entire service area of the college, the Sevier County Campus provides academic credit classes and non-credit classes/training.

      Students who are in pursuit of careers in the fields of Behavioral and Social Science, Humanities, and Mathematics take classes in this academic building. With an average class size of 25-30 students, Walters State students are actively engaged with faculty in the classroom.

    15. Maples-Mashall Hall (MMH)

      The following quote by Brian Herbert posted at the entrance to the Burchfiel Library in Maples-Marshall Hall inspires students: “The capacity to learn is a gift; the ability to learn is a skill; the willingness to learn is a choice." 

      Whether students are pursuing careers in Allied Health, Public Safety, Natural Science or Computer Science and Information Technology, Maples-Marshall Hall provides a learning-centered environment for students. 

      When visiting Maples-Marshall Hall, don’t forget to step outside onto the Library balcony to take in the breathtaking view of the mountains and the beautiful water feature on campus.

    16. Conner-Short Center (CAPE)

      When entering the Connor-Short Center, you will be greeted with delicious smells coming from the production kitchen, music from the band room or laughter as students gather for breakfast or lunch in the Mountain Rose Bistro and Bakery. Students pursuing careers in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management and Professional Entertainment will be busy in classes in this building taking courses that address the special educational/training needs of the community.

      Rel Maples Institute for Culinary Arts

      Located at the Walters State Sevier County Campus, the Rel Maples Institute for Culinary Arts includes a 2,100 square-foot kitchen, bake shop, demonstration kitchen and dining rooms where students test their skills at catered events each semester.

      The Maples Institute was the first culinary institution in Tennessee to receive accreditation with the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation Accrediting Commission.

    17. Kile-Ogle Hall (KOH)

      Students are surrounded with educational opportunities in the new 35,000 square foot Kile-Ogle Hall, which houses classrooms and lab space for the college’s Public Safety and Health programs.

      Named for Emily B. Kile and Linda Ogle, Sevier County businesswomen and longtime supporters of the college, Kile-Ogle Hall is the fourth and newest building to open on the Sevier County Campus.

    18. Claiborne County Campus

      The Walters State Claiborne County Campus offers day and evening academic credit classes and non-credit classes/training. Students are offered convenient enrollment services by dedicated faculty and staff and enjoy the student-friendly atmosphere on campus.

    19. Claiborne County Campus (WSCE)

      Individuals seeking to attain career and personal development goals are provided lifelong-learning opportunities at the Claiborne County Campus. Students enjoy multiple class instruction methods, such as Educast, video-streamed classes, web-based and face-to-face instruction.

      These class formats offer convenience as well as opportunities to engage with students on other Walters State campuses. Outside of class, students can enjoy beautiful upper East Tennessee and visit the Cumberland Gap National Historical Park.

    20. Newport Center

      The WSCC Newport Center serves as an extension of the main campus in Morristown offering both credit and non-credit courses to the citizens of Cocke County, and the college’s ten-county service area of upper East Tennessee. The campus allows students who are geographically remote from the main campus to take classes closer to their homes. The college’s general education core classes are available at this campus along with limited courses within certain programs.

      Approximately 275 students are served by the WSCC Newport Center, which is equipped with four classrooms, two study areas, student engagement room, offices, and conference room space. There are outdoor student spaces for student activities and study. Meeting space is available for community events Monday through Friday when classes are not in session.
