    1. Leo A. Guthart Hall for Innovation and Discovery

This 52,000-square-foot building is a comprehensive, state-of-the-art facility where students and faculty can study and work together. It is home to the Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and ideaHUB, complete with an enhanced start-up business incubator, a business behavior lab, multiple areas for independent and collaborative study, as well as administrative, faculty and student club offices.

In keeping with Hofstra’s commitment to environmental stewardship, this building is constructed to meet LEED, or “Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design,” standards. It consumes 40% less water than buildings that use conventional plumbing fixtures and uses energy-efficient technologies to reduce energy costs by 23.6%.

The building is connected to C.V. Starr Hall via an enclosed second-story pedestrian walkway, where students can still access the Martin B. Greenberg Trading Room, as well as the business school’s classrooms and lecture halls.
