    1. Monroe Lecture Center

      Named for Daniel Monroe, Trustee and Board Chairman, 1964-67. Slingerland & Booss architects of the Henry Otis Chapman office. Built as the Life Sciences Center and dedicated to Monroe on January 20, 1971. The Monroe Lecture Center is home to the Fortunoff Theater and the Hofstra Cultural Center, as well as a number of classrooms and rehearsal spaces.
