The facility is outfitted with high-speed networking capabilities and a robust digital infrastructure to keep student reporters actively participating in news acquisition, creation, and collaboration.  The Long Island Report, a multimedia news organization run entirely by students, is produced in the NewsHub.

The Herbert School of Communication has three production studios, which are used for television shows, film productions, large events, commercial rental, and student extracurricular projects.  The school's production and post-production facilities are equipped with the latest gear which students use to learn current techniques of the communication and media industries, including live multi-camera video switching and live audio mixing for everything from talk shows to live band performances.
