  1. Art in Public Places

    This is a self-guided tour around the university grounds.

    Stops

    1. 2012

      The 16th and final stop of this tour is 2012 By Joshua Rose, and it is comprised of 4 separate locations within the Education Center:

      (1) In the lobby near financial aid windows.
      (2) Near Suite 401.
      (3) On the ramp by the Transfer Center and University Student Records.
      (4) Near University Admissions and the restrooms
    2. Cejita Blanca Badlands Juniper

      The 15th stop on this tour is Cejita Blanca Badlands Juniper by Francis Hardy. Located in the American Indian Student Center, you can find this piece in the West building, near the water fountain. 
    3. Untitled, Shady Grove, Alabama

      Untitled, Shady Grove, Alabama, by Gordon Parks was installed in Breland Hall, outside of room 132. Gordon Parks passed away in 2006, but a professional art installer was contracted to install “Untitled, Shady Grove, Alabama”.  This art piece is composed of an Archival pigment print.
    4. Deep State

      Deep State by Scott Green is the 14th stop on this tour. This piece is located in Breland Hall. You can find it next to room 132, near the computers and sitting area. 
    5. Seed Pods

      Seed Pods by Jeff Zischke is the 13th stop on this tour. This piece is located outside, east of the Communication Sciences Building. This area has charging stations, and is a great place to take a rest before continuing the rest of the tour. 
    6. A Square, A Circle

      Stop 12 on this tour is A Square within Which Are Horizontal Parallel Lines, Outside the Square, Vertical Parallel Lines; A Circle within Which Are Parallel Lines, Outside the Circle Are Horizontal Parallel Lines by Sol LeWitt. It is located outside, east of the Communication Science Building.
    7. Duet in Blue & Letters from Home: Hear

      Duet in Blue & Letters from Home: Hear by Louis Ocepek are two separate works, and are the 7th stop on this tour. Located in the Communication Sciences Building, you can find this piece in the stairwell of the west entrance of the second floor. 
    8. Waterdrop II

      Waterdrop II, by Mira Burack, can be found on the second floor of the Health and Social Services Building in room 219. 
    9. Waterdrop I

      Waterdrop I, by Mira Burack, can be found on the second floor of the Health and Social Services Building in room 219. 
    10. Ollin (Movement)

      Ollin (Movement), by Moria Garcia is a lithograph with hand stitching. It is 11'x10"x0", and can be found on the first floor of Guthrie Hall adjacent to the lobby. 
    11. Ozomatli (Monkey)

      Ozomatli (Monkey), by Moria Garcia is a lithograph with hand stitching. It is 11'x10"x0", and can be found on the first floor of Guthrie Hall adjacent to the lobby. 
    12. Apple Tree

      Stop 9 on this tour is Apple Tree by Joshua Rose. This Piece is located in the Hardman and Jacobs Undergraduate Learning Center. You can find it on the first floor, next to room 126. 
    13. Campfire

      Campfire by Cristopher Nelson is the 8th stop on the tour. Located in the Hardman and Jacobs Undergraduate Learning Center, you can find this piece on the second floor, next to room 225. 
    14. Patterned Algorithm Interior

      Stop 11 on this tour is Patterned Algorithm Interior by Mary Ann Strandell. This piece is located in Rentfrow Hall, and can be found next to the front entrance. 
    15. Gullybreen

      The 10th Stop on this tour is Gullybreen by Cedra Wood. This piece is located in the Biology Annex, next to room 102. 
    16. Swarm

      Swarm by Stephanie Lerma is the 6th stop on this tour. It is located in Science Hall, on the first floor, just outside of Room 182C.
    17. Disc Paintings

      Disc Paintings by David O'Brien is stop 4 on this tour. It is located in Jett Hall on the first floor by the east entry.
    18. Flying Machine

      Stop 5 on the tour is Flying Machine by Lance Letscher. This piece is located in Jett Hall,  North of the main entry, across from the stairs.

      Stop 2 on the tour is Salinas Pipeline, Salinas Pueblo Region, NM, July 1, 2016 by Mark Goebel. This piece is located in Gerald Thomas Hall. You can find it on the first floor, south side of the building, near the auditorium. 
    20. Untitled (Moth)

      Stop 1 on the the tour is Untitled (Moth) by Clayton Porter is located in Skeen Hall, on the second floor, near the north east stairs and elevator. 
    21. In the Garden

      Stop 3 on the tour is In the Garden by Jacklyn St. Aubyn. This piece is located in the William B. Conroy Honors Center. You can fin it in the first-floor student lounge, on the south wall.
    22. Hope Springs

      Hope Springs, piece by Louis Ocepek, was installed in the Music building, in the lobby. This art piece is composed of encapsulated chromogenic print, Sintra, Acrylic.
    23. UNEARTHED 16

      UNEARTHED 16, by Shannon Rankin, was installed in Gardiner Hall, in the stair well at the front entrance. This art piece is composed of ink and pigmented graphite on cut topographic maps.
