      We are part of the Chabot-Las Positas Community College District, which has its administrative offices in Dublin, and our sister campus, Las Positas College, in Livermore.

    4. Key 700S - Community Center & El Centro

      "You don't have to do it alone, we're here for you."

      Building 700S
      supports our Counseling Faculty, as well as the Community Center.  And at the east end of the building; El Centro, your one-stop bilingual resource center is dedicated to chicanx/latinx and low-income students success.  And it is also home to our Adult Education Program and partnership with the Mid Alameda County Consortium and the Dream Center, a dedicated space for undocumented students and allies, with specialized support and services.

    5. Chabot Parking Solar Panels

      Measure B helped to fund construction of solar panel shades over our main student parking lot.   The photovoltaic panels are mounted on the roof of carport structures erected in parking lots G and J and will produce one megawatt of electricity for the campus per year, which will satisfy up to 30% of the current campus demand.
    6. 1300 - Reed L. Buffington Visual & Performing Arts Center

      Building 1300 houses Chabot College's Reed L. Buffington Visual & Performing Arts Center.  The PAC includes the main Auditorium, Stage One, and the Recital Hall.

      First opened in 1967, the Performing Arts Center is a 1,432-seat auditorium, which functions as a full featured theater. Our landmark community theater was re-dedicated and renamed on November 3, 2010 to honor our founder, Reed L. Buffington.

      Extensive features include:

    7. Chabot's Automotive Program & Video Tour

      The Automotive Technology Program provides training for anyone interested in pursuing a career in the automotive service industry. We are a ASE accredited program. Our program provides the knowledge and skills needed to become a highly sought after entry level technician. You will learn how to diagnose service and repair an automo-bile with pride and confidence in our state of the art facility. You will be training side by side with apprentices from local dealerships that use Chabot exclusively to train their technicians. 

      Our partnerships with the industry, and the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) Master Program Accreditation, ensures that as our student, you will receive the learning experiences to prepare you for the ever changing automotive industry.

      From our program, you will gain the skills and experience in the following areas:

      • Automotive electronic and electrical systems
      • Fuel and emission systems
      • Engines and engine performance
      • Brake and suspension systems
      • Manual and automatic transmissions and drive lines
      • Air conditioning systems
      • Hybrid, electric and alternative fuels

      Our instructors are ASE certified with substantial industry experience.

    8. 1800 - Classrooms & Physics labs

      Building 1800 supports classes in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, Biology, Chemistry, and other disciplines across the campus.  Renovated through the Measure B Bond funds, 1800 offers two of the most capable 60-person lecture halls, student study rooms, and flexible lab spaces. 
    9. 1902 - Planetarium

      The Chabot College Planetarium!

      Of the 116 Community Colleges in California, only a handful are lucky enough to have a planetarium supporting daily classes and offering opportunities for local community and schools to learn about the sky. 

      Our 30-ft dome supports a fully digital Spitz Sci-Dome 2400Q projector, able to take students and viewers anywhere on Earth, or space, at the touch of a button.

    10. 3200 Bio Phase 1 Annex

      Building 3200 was funded by our local Bond Measures, providing additional lab space for the Biology and Allied Health Programs at Chabot College.  

      It houses 5 new lab spaces, a greenhouse, student study spaces, and more.

    11. Bio Phase II Lab & Office Building

      A New Building 2100!

      Bio Phase II is our new STEM division and faculty office and Biology/Engineering lab building.   Currently in design with the help of the architecture firm tBP, the building will house seven new labs:
      • General biology
      • Microbiology
      • Cell Biology
      • Engineering, and
      • Geology

      The building will house faculty offices for the Division of Science & Mathematics, including adjunct colleagues.  On the roof we hope to construct an observation pad for telescopes to support the college Astronomy Labs.

      Building 4000 is Chabot's State of the Art Fitness Center, supporting athletic team training and fitness classes open to the community.

    15. Men's Baseball Field

      Chabot College's Men's Baseball Program is one of the best!  The field is currently being rebuilt as part of the Measure A Bond project.

      A Design/Build project consisting of the removal and replacement of the existing baseball field with artificial turf. Install new bleachers, site lighting, dugouts, batting cages, bullpens, storage areas, and scoreboard along with the new code-compliant press box structure with restrooms and accessible pathways.

       

      Project Update:

      •Baseball Field surface changed from Field Turf™ to Astro Turf™
      •Construction started August 2020. Installation of underground utilities are ongoing, as well as installation of footings for Buildings A and B and the backstop piers.

       

      Occupancy: February 2021

    16. Hayward Fire Department/Chabot Fire Training Facility

      Project Description:

      The City of Hayward and Chabot-Las Positas Community College District have reached agreement on a partnership to jointly develop a new regional center for firefighter, paramedic, rescue, and emergency response education and training.
