    1. Student Services

      The GG-Building is brand new, it was just opened in 2016 and there is a lot of stuff in it. The GG-Building houses all of the student services including Admissions & Records, Financial Aid, Counseling, Transfer Center, Disabled Student Services, EOPS, Scholarship Office, Cashier, and Student Health Services.
    2. Theater Arts

      Temporarily located in the FF-Building while our auditorium is being built is Theatre Arts. Students completing our program should be fully prepared to move on to a more advanced level in a post-secondary institution or in the workforce. Students learn skills necessary for jobs in the Theatre Arts field related to acting. This field of concentration is designed to provide students with an overall appreciation of theater arts as well as an emphasis in acting and technical theater. The Associate Degree and Certificate Programs will prepare students for auditions and careers in Theatre Management, Stage Management, Box Office Management, Wardrobe, Make-up Artists, Performance, Teaching, Apprenticeships, and more.
    3. Child Development Center

      Located in the HH-Building is our Child Development Center. Are you interested in exploring careers working with children and families? Employers in the fields of Child Development and Early Childhood Education want to hire people who understand how children of all ages learn and develop.  Our students go on to a wide range of related careers including preschool teachers, child psychologists, and elementary teachers.  We offer the classes you need to gain knowledge and to build skills to get hired!
    4. General Education

      Building BB and DD are primarily used to teach a variety of our general education classes. There are not any specific departments headquartered in these two buildings. Our average class size at LBCC is 35 students per teacher.
    5. Workforce Development

      Building AA is where a lot of our administrative office are located on this campus including Workforce Development. Workforce Economic Development (WED) at Long Beach City College is dedicated to bridging the gap between fulfilling business needs for a qualified workforce and providing education and training, including skill sets relevant to jobs in the 21st century. With nearly 30,000 students, LBCC is among the largest of the 113 colleges in the California Community Colleges System, the largest system of higher education in the nation. With Economic Development being one of the primary missions at LBCC, we are committed to delivering programs and services that contribute to a competitive workforce and business development in the global market. We achieve our mission through programs and special projects, funded by federal, state, local and private dollars. Our staff is well versed in project management to ensure accountability of project/grant outcomes.
    6. Fitness Center

      The CC-building is the fitness center for this campus. It is a gym that students can use by signing up to take a class. Students can sign up to a take 1 unit fitness class aerobics, yoga, core strength and weight lifting to name just a few. Athletics is located at our other campus. Since capturing its first state title in 1928, the Long Beach City College athletic program continues to make a name for itself both locally and nationally. While academics remain a constant emphasis at Long Beach City College, the institution is proud of its athletic program’s success. To date, Long Beach City College has won 16 national titles, seven runner-up national titles, 93 state titles, and 52 state runner-up titles.
    7. Student Union

      Welcome to the Student Union and the office of Student Affairs located on the first floor of the EE-building. Their mission is to create, encourage and support a positive, collegial learning environment whereby the educational goals of students and the College are enhanced. Innovative and traditional programs, events and activities have been developed which foster the opportunity for personal growth through learning, leadership development, shared governance, healthy competition, volunteerism, social interaction, and cultural exchange.
    8. Bookstore

      Also located on the first floor of the EE-Building is the Viking Bookstore. Any classes you are taking at this campus you can buy your books in person at this bookstore. Any class you are taking at LAC you can buy your textbooks in person at the bookstore at that campus or of course you can buy your textbook anytime online through our website.
    9. Multidisciplinary Learning Center

      Located upstairs in EE-206 our Multidisciplinary Success Center is run by the Learning and Academic Resources (LAR) Department. LAR provides instruction and support services to Long Beach City College students to help them be more successful in their academic pursuits. Recognizing that our college community is composed of diverse students with varying educational backgrounds, readiness, and academic needs, LAR offers instruction and a wide range of programs, services, and materials to promote college success. The department provides various learning and study strategy courses, basic adult education, supplemental instruction, tutorial services, learning assistance, computing centers, and Student Success Centers.
    10. Library & Learning Resource Center

      Located in the LL-Building, the Library is home to a trove of research material, a study hall space and a computer lab.

      Also, located upstairs in the LL-Building is our English as a Second Language program. LBCC's English as a Second Language program helps students develop the skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening in order to reach their academic and vocational goals. Long Beach City College’s free English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are offered in several locations throughout the community. These noncredit classes are open to people of all levels as a way to improve speaking and/or reading and writing skills in English.     11. Horticulture

      Located between the YY and QQ Buildings is our Horticulture gardens and greenhouses. LBCC's Horticulture Program provides students with the training and practical experience for an entry-level position as well as continuing education for those working in the horticulture industry. This field of concentration is designed to furnish students with knowledge of the entry-level skills necessary to embark upon a career in the horticulture industry. It includes an emphasis on practical applications leading to career advancement. It also provides a partial lower-division preparation for transfer to a baccalaureate degree program in this field. This Certificate of Achievement will prepare students for an entry-level position in a variety of horticulture/landscape/nursery industry positions and will serve as a foundation for specialization. This Associate Degree will prepare students for career advancement once a certificate has been earned. Appropriate course selection will also facilitate transfer in a related major.
    12. Electrical Technology

      Located in Buildings QQ and RR is our Electrical Technology Program. LBCC's Electrical Technology Program prepares students for entry-level employment in numerous electrical and electrically related trades. Upon completion of the Electrical Technology program, the student will be able to install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and systems in a safe and workman-like manner. Thanks to our local voters, a $22M Bond investment through Measure E has made it possible for Long Beach City College to build two new buildings at PCC campus in the Fall of 2018 and modernize our Electrical Technology facilities to provide a more robust education and training program for this high-demand industry. 
    13. Advanced Transportation Technology

      Located in the JJ-Building is our Advanced Transportation Technology Program. Do you love motorsports or want to learn more about your car?  Are you into reducing our environmental impact or are you looking for a career in the growing field of Electric Vehicles, Hybrid Vehicles, and/or Alternative Fueled Vehicles.  We’ve got it all from passenger cars to heavy-duty Compressed Natural Gas engines, learn about the latest technology and get the experience needed for this exciting field.
    14. Welding & Metal Fabrication

      Located in the II-Building is our Welding and Metal Fabrication Technology Program. LBCC's Welding and Metal Fabrication Technology Program's mission is to provide technical training to meet the demands of the industry and the needs of the individual to demonstrate entry-level skills necessary for employment. We strive for each student’s success and prepare them with the knowledge for a better future. Students who complete our program are eligible for employment in Aerospace, Agriculture, Automotive, Chemical processing, Construction, Manufacturing, Plumbing and Pipe Welding, Robotics, and much more!
    15. Construction Technology

      Located in the MM-Building is our Construction Technology Program. LBCC's Construction Technology Program has courses that can be divided into three major areas of emphasis: Residential Trades, Home Remodeling and Pre-apprenticeship. Knowing that a vast diversity of occupations exist within the construction industry and recognizing that individual student needs are diverse, a Certificate of Achievement can be designed that satisfies those specific needs. Completion of the Certificate of Completion satisfies the major requirement for the Associates in Science degree in Construction Technology.
