    1. Parking

      One Day parking permits may be purchased for $2 at parking permit machines located in every parking lot. Single day passes do not permit you to park in spots marked disabled, staff or in metered spots.
    2. Start

      Welcome to Long Beach City College. Long Beach City College (LBCC) is a 2-year Community College, with a diverse student community. Many students are here pursuing their educational dreams by earning a 2-year Associate's Degree, professional Certificate or by completing their general education (GE) requirements as they prepare to transfer to a 4-year college or university.
    3. Administrative Services

      You are now in the courtyard of the T-building. This is where the purpose of the building divides. To your left is LBCC's non-academic Administrative Services including Fiscal and Human Resources. This is also where the President of our college has her office and is where our Board of Trustees meet every month. We are a public school, so our Board of Trustees are all publicly elected officials. Chances are strong that as a student you will not use this portion of the building.
    4. Athletics

      LBCC Athletics is headquartered in Building Q & R. Since capturing its first state title in 1928, the Long Beach City College athletic program continues to make a name for itself both locally and nationally. While academics remain a constant emphasis at Long Beach City College, the institution is proud of the success of its athletic program. To date, Long Beach City College has won 16 national titles, 7 runner-up national titles, 92 state titles, and 50 state runner-up titles. LBCC Athletes compete in Basketball, Baseball, Cross Country, Football, Soccer, Softball, Swimming & Diving, Track & Field, Volleyball and Water Polo.
    5. Business & Social Science

      T-Bldg. North is home to our Business Administration and Social Science departments. The Business Administration Department fosters the development of students analytical and critical thinking skills as it pertains to the professional and personal lives. Students will gain an understanding of various business methodologies and techniques. The Business Administration Department offers students the opportunity to concentrate their studies in subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Entrepreneurship, General Business, International Business, Logistics, Management, Marketing and much more. The department offers Associate Degrees and Certificates that prepare students for transfer to Bachelor's Degree programs, as well as entry or promotion in the private and nonprofit sectors.
    6. Culinary Arts & Math Success Center

      The V-Building is home to our Math and Engineering Department and Math Success Center. The LBCC Math Success Center is specifically designed to support student success and achievement in the area of math by providing Supplemental Learning Activities and tutoring to students of all levels at no cost. The V-Building is also home to LBCC's Baking/Pastry and Culinary Arts programs.  The Culinary Arts program provides students with standard, occupational, entry-level skills in the Culinary Arts, and improves the understanding of culinary fundamentals with hands-on training using traditional and state-of-the-art techniques and equipment, with an emphasis on industry-standard safety and sanitation practices. It is home to the student run LBCC Bakery & Bistro, which are both open to the public.
    7. Architecture, Drafting & mechanical Design

      The B-Building is home to our Architectural Design, Architectural Drafting and Mechanical Drafting Programs. The Architectural Design program at LBCC creates an educational environment where students can achieve their individual goals by providing the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully transfer to a bachelor program in Architecture or a related field. The program provides students with instruction in the latest technologies, industry standards, and significant industry trends.
    8. Nursing & Allied Health

      The C-Building is home to LBCC Nursing and Health Pathways Programs. The Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) Program provides a high-quality nursing education to qualified and diverse students for the development of entry-level nurses who are prepared to meet the evolving healthcare needs of the community. The faculty strives to create a student-centered environment of collaboration, lifelong learning, and mentorship to promote academic excellence and compassionate nursing care. In addition to Nursing, students at LBCC can study Medical Assisting, Diagnostic Medical Imaging and Phlebotomy.
    9. Science

      The D-Building is home to LBCC's Life and Physical Science Departments. The Life Science Department has a multifold mission of preparing students for transfer to a four-year university, attain an Associate’s degree, and satisfying the biological science prerequisite for various programs at other colleges. Students who have matriculated through the programs will be exposed to the scientific method, gain an appreciation for the environment, and become aware of the vital roles of science in our lives. The courses will also help students to better comprehend scientific information and increase awareness of personal health. From the stars above to the layers below, the Physical Science Department teaches aspiring scientists about the Earth and its properties. The department offers programs in astronomy, chemistry, environmental science, geography, geology, and physics.
    10. Viking Food Court

      The Viking Food Court is located in the E-Building. Students can purchase meals, snacks, and coffee here.
    11. Student Union

      Located in the E-Building the Student Union is home to LBCC's Student Affairs Office, the Reading and Writing Center and is where students can get their student photo IDs taken.
    12. Family & Consumer Studies

      The F-Building is home to LBCC's Family & Consumer Studies Department, which offers courses and training in the art and science of healthy living. Concentrations include child development, food and nutrition, personal finance, and skills for balancing work and life. The department also offers specialty programs in fashion design, fashion merchandising and floral design, with training both in the creative and business side aspects of these industries. All programs offer Associate of Art degrees and professional certifications, laying the groundwork for advancement in high education and career.
    13. Performing Arts

      The G, H & J Buildings are home to our Performing Arts Department. Classes in dance, music, and theater are taught throughout this area. The Performing Arts Department offers a wide range of classes in each of these creative disciplines: classical & modern dance, vocal & instrumental music, acting & production, and management in stage and film. Courses prepare students for their next step: be it a 4-year college, specialty arts school or professional career. The department offers Associate of Arts degrees in dance, music, general theater arts, and acting. Students may also earn Certificates in media with an emphasis in commercials, film acting or voice-overs. These classes will also build confidence and improve communication skills that can be beneficial in any field.
    14. Visual & Media Arts

      The K-Building is home to LBCC’s Visual & Media Arts Department. Art and media are powerful vehicles for people to create, connect, communicate, inform and entertain. In today's world, art and media permeate every facet of life. The Visual & Media Arts Department offers Art, Film, Digital Media, and Radio/Television degree programs with beginning, advanced and professional courses in each discipline. Introductory classes establish a technical and critical understanding of visual and media language and lead to more advanced studies in which students create and exhibit their work. All programs offer Associate of Art degrees and Certificates that prepare students to transfer to a 4-year college or university and the professional world.

    15. Viking Bookstore

      The Viking Bookstore is located in the I Building on the LAC Campus. Here, you can purchase textbooks for any class as well as other supplies, snacks, and merchandise. LBCC also has another bookstore in the EE Bldg. at the PCC Campus. Typically you will be able to purchase books for your classes taken at your respective campus.
    16. Library

      Located in the L-Building, the Library is home to a trove of research material, study hall spaces, success centers, tutoring center, computer labs and, our Honor's Department.
    17. Computer Science & Foreign Languages

      The M Building is home to our Computer & Office Studies Department (COS) and Foreign Languages Department. The COS department has courses and resources to help students succeed in today's digital world. Those whose interests lie in programming and emerging technologies will find a full range of computer science classes in coding, software development, systems networking, web development, and database management. The department offers both Associate of Science degrees, Certificates and prepares students for higher education and burgeoning careers in technology. The Foreign Languages Department offers coursework in Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish and Vietnamese and Khmer. All courses stress listening, speaking, reading and writing and foster a cultural understanding of the regions where those languages are spoken.

    18. English & Journalism

      The P Building is home to the English Department which includes the Viking Newspaper. The English Department offers three programs: Digital Design & Publication, which trains students to write, design and produce material on diverse computer platforms; English, with concentrations in composition, creative writing, literature and reading; and Journalism, which prepares students for careers in reporting, public relations, documentary photography and related fields. The English Department offers Associate degrees and professional certificates.
