    1. Ambler Learning Center

      The Ambler Campus Learning Center is one of the primary academic buildings on campus with three floors of smart classrooms. Students can take both credit and non-credit courses, with a small student to faculty ratio. The first floor includes the Welcome Center, grab and go cafe, and our 300-seat auditorium. The Institutional Research and Assessment Testing Center, which provides testing services (such as the Millers Analogy Test (MAT) and licensure and certification exams) to members of the community, is located on the second floor.

      The Learning Center is also home to the Ambler Campus Technology Center (ACT), also known as the Tech Center. Macs, PCs, printers and software needed for classes are available for student use, along with virtual reality and 3D printing technology. Our Help Desk staff provides tech support to students, faculty and staff. Credit students can also visit the Help Desk for computer repair services.

      The Tech Center is also home to our state-of-the-art Esports Center, which features top-line gaming equipment including HD monitors, gaming towers, rainbow backlit keyboards and quality headsets. Play solo, with friends, or during one of our tournaments. Love to game? Join our Esports club!

      The parking lot adjacent to the Learning Center, Lot 2, is where current students can board the inter-campus bus. The inter-campus bus runs from Ambler Campus to the Health Science Center, then to Main Campus, and back. Our shuttle van service goes to/from campus and SEPTA’s Regional Rail Station in Ambler Borough.

    2. West Hall

      West Hall provides every student with a “one-stop-shop” experience. Students can meet with their advisors and financial aid staff, register for classes, pay their bills, get their photo ID and much more.

      Current students should also be sure to stop by the Student Life suite in West Hall. This is a place for them to hang out and find out more about getting involved, whether it's joining one of our clubs or starting a new one.

      The accredited Aquaponics Lab is also located in West Hall. Make an appointment to explore the cultivation of plants and aquatic animals in a self-sustaining, symbiotic environment.

    3. Library

      Ambler Campus Library

      The Ambler Campus Library holds over 120,000 books, DVDs and magazines. Plus, through the inter-library loan system, we can have almost any book sent from Main Campus or even libraries around the country.The library building has ample quiet study space and breakout rooms.Our friendly librarians and staff are also available to assist you with research and information gathering! The Library isn’t just for quiet studying – the staff hosts fun activities for students throughout the semester. Here, you will also find the Small Business Development Center, helping entrepreneurs and small businesses start, grow and prosper by offering low-cost classes, and general business consulting free of charge to clients.

       

    4. Widener Hall-Infant Lab

      Widener Hall

      In Widener Hall, you will find more smart classrooms as well as the Infant and Child Lab, where students and faculty perform cutting-edge research on spatial development, memory, language development, and the role of play in learning in children from two months to ten years old.  There are also opportunities for internships and research at undergraduate and graduate levels.

    5. Cottage Hall

      Cottage Hall

      The Temple Ambler Field Station is a platform for environmental field research and education, providing access to a diversity of natural habitats including old growth and secondary forests, meadows, ephemeral streams, and designed gardens. Ongoing research at the Ambler Field Station spans multiple disciplines, from the natural sciences to engineering and liberal arts.

    6. Dixon Hall

      Dixon Hall

      You will find many Landscape Architecture and Horticulture students in Dixon Hall when they aren't using our arboretum as their outdoor classroom. Dixon Hall features science labs, design studios and computer classrooms.

      Visitors have a great view of the Louise Bush Brown Formal Perennial Gardens, part of our Formal Gardens, from the Dixon Terrace. The Formal Gardens are one of a variety of gardens and green spaces in our 187-acre arboretum. All students have access to the gardens as a resource. Students can visit the gardens for leisure activities, volunteer in the gardens, host meetings or events, or simply find a peaceful place to study or relax. Visitors can touch the plants and learn to grow their own. The Formal Gardens are also used for many special events that are open to the campus community and general public.

       

    7. Greenhouse and Education Research Complex

      Greenhouse Education and Research Complex

      Growth takes on new meaning in our greenhouse as students use this space as a classroom and research facility. Explore the permanent teaching collection of over 1,400 varieties of tropical plants from all over the world that students can study, including rare and endangered species.

      The greenhouse is part of the Greenhouse Education and Research Complex, which also includes the head house, shade house, hoop house, and research garden. Our beehives are also located here, where we make our own honey.

       

    8. Recreation Services

      Recreation Services

      Did you know the current home of Recreation Services at Ambler Campus, commonly referred to as the Red Barn Gym, used to be a functioning barn and stables? Enjoy a clean fitness room with treadmills, machines and free weights, plus an indoor basketball court, showers and locker rooms. Students are encouraged to take advantage of free equipment rental for both indoor and outdoor facilities, such as our basketball, tennis and sand volleyball courts. Students, staff, faculty and visitors enjoy walking our campus grounds year-round - we have over 2 miles of wooded walking trails!

    9. Bright Hall

      Bright Hall

      Students get hands-on experience in the Landscape Architecture studio classrooms in the Design Build Studio, located in Bright Hall. Landscape Architecture and Horticulture students have their own space for printing, scanning, and working with the Lumion 3D virtual design system. 

      Many special presentations, events and activities are held in Bright Hall Lounge, making it a place that holds great memories for students past and present.

      The Perch is a lounge where students can relax, play games, and hang out between classes. Club meetings can also be held here. The Ambler Student Life Board is a student-run organization that hosts programs on campus for students with many opportunities for free food and fun giveaways! Student professional organizations give students an opportunity to explore majors and career opportunities – they often bring in guest speakers that are useful contacts in future internship and job searches.

      Members of the Temple Police are stationed on the Ambler Campus 24/7 with their headquarters in Bright Hall. At Ambler Campus, Temple Police maintain direct communication with the Upper Dublin Police Department and Temple’s Main Campus dispatch and operations.

      Temple’s Law Enforcement Training Center, located on Ambler Campus, provides basic training for new police officers and park rangers. Students study topics such as criminal investigations, criminal law, land management law, criminal procedure, courtroom procedure and crime scene investigations. The Training Center includes a mock campground, police training vehicles and small space training simulator.
