    1. Perkins Student Center

      The Perkins Student Center is the hub of campus activity!

      The first floor is home to our admissions office, where you can learn what steps you need to take to become a bona fide Penn Stater! This building also houses financial aid and support services. Check out a show in the auditorium, or learn about internships in the Office of Career Services. Here, you can find the support you need at counseling and health services, or engage in the Student Government Association or Campus Activities Board. Stop by the game room and say, "Hello!" to the campus life and student affairs offices. The Perkins Student Center is also home to the Freyberger Art Gallery!

       

      On the second floor you’ll find the Housing and Food Service Office, Tully’s Dining Hall, and the Lion’s Den.

    2. Beaver Athletics and Wellness Center

      The newly renovated Beaver Athletics and Wellness Center is one of our students' favorite places to hang out! It houses the gym, the fitness center, a class studio, the coaches’ offices, and a state-of-the-art human movement lab. The gym and workout facilities are open for recreational use when classes and athletic events are not in progress.

    3. Lion Shrine

      This statue is a replica of the Lion Shrine at University Park.
    4. Franco Building

      Franco houses most of the offices related to academics, including Academic Advising, the Learning Center, the Writing Center, Student Disability Resources, the Registrar’s Office, and the Finance and Bursar’s Office.

       

      Academic Advising:

      • each student will be assigned an academic advisor, either a faculty member or DUS advisor

      The Learning Center

      • Unlimited tutoring is included in tuition and fees
      • Tutoring provided by peer or professional tutors
      • Tutoring available for many math and science classes.
      • Extra computers/Study space available in center
      • Study skills support and counseling (workshops or individual)
      • You can make an appointment online!

      Writing Center

      • Professional staff and writing fellows
      • Appointments are limited

      Student Disability Resources

      • This office provides services for students who need special accommodations for disabilities

      Registrar’s Office

      • This is where current students can drop/add classes, find out about the schedule of courses, and request official copies of student transcripts

      Finance and Bursar’s Office

      • This is where student bills and accounts are handled
    5. Gaige Technology & Business Innovation Building

      The Gaige Technology & Business Innovation Building is the largest classroom building on our campus, and a LEED gold level certified Green Building, established by the U.S. Green Building Council. More information about the energy- and resource-saving design features can be found on plaques throughout the building.

       

      1st floor Gaige is home to an art installation called “The Wave” and a stainless steel Nittany Lion.

       

      The Cyber Café on the first floor of Gaige has a wide selection of coffee and other beverages, including Starbucks, lunch specials each day, bagels, pastries, Creamery Ice Cream, and Grilled Stickies, all of which can be purchased with campus meal card plans.

       

      The Engineering wing and labs are also located on the first floor, as well as the full kitchen used for Hospitality Management classes.

       

      The second floor of Gaige houses the Information Sciences and Technology Wing, computer labs (including a MAC lab), 50 faculty offices, and the boardroom—room 244.

       

      3rd floor Gaige is where you can find Academic Affairs and the Intercultural Office.

    6. Information Commons at the Thun Library

      The Information Commons is a part of the PSU Library system, and provides the resources of a major research library. The facility includes individual study rooms, a multimedia studio, an electronic classroom, computers for student use, an instructional design lab, meeting and conference rooms, a cop center, color printers and scanners, and wireless internet. It’s also home to the IT Help Desk, where students can receive walk-up assistance accessing the Penn State Network and and laptops that the students can sign out for use. The Information Commons has extensive hours of operation to accommodate students’ needs.

    7. Bookstore

      The Hintz Bookstore is a Barnes & Noble affiliate where you can buy new/used textbooks, rent books, sell your books back, and purchase PSU apparel. It also serves as a convenience store, including an ATM.

    8. Luerssen Building

      The Luerssen Building houses the science labs (including the cadaver lab) and numerous faculty offices. Police and Safety Services office is here as well.

    9. The Woods/The Village

      • 800 students housed on campus (480 new students/320 returning students)
      • No more than 4 students per bathroom
      • Co-ed by hall, but suites are single sex
      • Housing is first come, first serve
      • Resident Assistants coordinate hall activities and work with Residence Life.
      • Resident parking, basketball court, volleyball court
