    Stops

    1. Oconee Campus Overview

    2. Administration Building

Welcome to UNG’s Oconee Campus, located ten miles south of Athens, and just north of Georgia’s Lake Country.

Your first stop is the Administration Building, where you can get the answer to most of your questions about college. How much is tuition? Visit the Business Office. How can I get scholarships? Visit the financial aid office. What courses do I need for my major? Visit Academic Advising.

The Office of Admissions is also located here, and they are always ready to take you under their Nighthawk wings and show you around campus.

Other services here include Student Disability Services, counseling services, and the IT Help Desk.

    3. 300 Classroom Building

The Classroom, or 300, Building is where you will take most of your classes on the Oconee Campus. With no more than 32 students in a class, you will be on a first-name basis with your classmates and your professors.

This building is also home to our biology labs, where you can get hands-on experience doing undergraduate research.

    4. Faculty Center

If you are meeting with your professor for office hours, you will likely be meeting them in the Faculty Center.

The Faculty Center is home to the UNG Bookstore, for all of your textbook and blue & gold needs, as well as the Oconee Campus Gallery, which displays six art exhibits on average each year.

    5. The Quad

The Quad is the epicenter of campus social activities and a great place to get fresh air in between classes.

Most days you will find members from one of the 30 student clubs or 8 intramural sports teams recruiting new members, or maybe there will be a group of students laying on blankets in the grass, catching up on some required reading.

Fun annual events are often held on the quad, such as the Fall Carnival, the Spring Fling, the Night of Nations, Nighthawks Fest, and more. You never know what you will find going on at the Quad!

    6. Student Resource Center

When you are not in class or on the quad, you will spend most of your time on campus in the Student Resource Center (SRC).

Here, you can grab a snack and some coffee at the coffee shop and café.

If you are looking for a quiet place to study, or you need to find sources for your research paper, then stop by the library. The library offers many services such as research consultations, as well as the technology check-out program that allows you to borrow items such as iPads, laptops, cameras, microphones, and more.

If you need extra help with subjects such as accounting, chemistry/physics, math, or writing, then visit the Oconee Learning & Tutoring Center for some drop-in tutoring. The language lab and chemistry labs are also located in this building.

There are many resources located in the SRC that will help you to make the most of your college experience!
