The Barshop Institute supports aging research through a wide range of core services and clinical facilities by sponsoring cutting-edge programs that employ advanced technologies such as genomics and proteomics, transgenic animal models and pathological assessments. Samples are collected from community-dwelling adults 18 years of age or older who are healthy as well as those who have chronic disease.
