Floyd M. McDowell Commons
Campus' two-level kitchen and dining facility. The main floor is home to the kitchen and main dining room (seats 474) with service lines on the west and east sides. The lower floor houses a small dining lounge, restrooms and storage space.
Gunsolley Residence Hall
Is a four-story men's residence hall located just north east of the MSC and north of the adjacent Graybill Hall. Gunsolley houses double and single occupancy rooms. A concrete outdoor basketball court resides just outside the southeast corner of the hall.
Thomas Apartments
The Thomas Apartments are single gender apartments with co-ed buildings. Each apartment features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, living room and a washer and dryer. Located at the northern edge of campus, the apartments are available to upperclassmen only.
Tess Morgan Residence Hall
Is a three-wing women's residence hall located just northwest of The Fitz. There is a main lounge with a big screen TV and leather furniture and as well our the newest addition, the Great Room which features a kitchen available for student use equipped with stove, oven, sink and refrigerator. The Great Room also features a big screen TV and a comfortable sitting area.
Fitzgerald Fitness Center
The "Fitz", as it's known around campus, is available to students, faculty and staff of Graceland. The Fitz's main focus is to promote wellness with an array of exercise equipment available and a group fitness room that may be reserved in one-hour intervals.
Frederick Madison Smith Library
The first facility on campus built specifically as a library, located west of the Higdon Administration Building, opened in 1966. Designed to hold up to 126,000 books, the building has three-levels and hosts both the Library and the Student Success Studio.
Briggs Hall
A three-level classroom building located south of the Higdon Administration Building and houses the C.H. Sandage School of Business. Briggs is the second oldest building on campus, constructed in 1920.
Resch Science & Technology Hall
A two-story building located between Briggs Hall and Morden Center. Housed in Resch are the biology and chemistry classrooms and labs, faculty offices, a tribute to NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson, observatory and greenhouse.
Morden Center
Is a 65,000-square-foot sports & physical education facility located south of Zimmermann Hall and Resch Science and Technology Hall. The center hosts a 38,000-square-foot gym, 5 courts (basketball, volleyball and tennis), a 200-meter rubber track inside the perimeter and movable bleachers seating up to 2,000.
Zimmermann Hall
Located just northeast of the Closson Center, Graceland's original gymnasium and auditorium, the three-story building now serves as home to the School of Education, the psychology department, seminar and lecture rooms, TRIO and counseling, football offices, and the Creative Media Center.
Higdon Administration Building
Was the first structure built on-campus, and opened for classes in January 1897. "The Higdon Admin Building speaks the story of Graceland. The west door stands for reception; the north door for romance; the east door for work; the chapel (located on the 2nd floor) for fellowship and dedication; and the four-turreted tower on the north side for inspiration." -GU Book of Knowledge. Today, the 200,000 brick (all of which were made in Lamoni) building houses the president's office, administration offices and admissions offices. It is the symbol of Graceland.
Shaw Center Lobby
One of the top performing arts venues in the Midwest, located east of the Higdon Administration Building, The Shaw boasts state-of-the-art performance facilities:
- JR Theatre, a black box theatre equipped with lighting, sound and multi-functional qualities
- acoustically-perfect, 150-seat Carol Hall recital facility
- beautiful outdoor amphitheater; stunning atrium/lobby
- 500-seat Shaw Family Auditorium, showcasing a 23-rank pipe organ
- north-facing corridor Gallery showcasing contemporary still-life and landscapes of Canada
