    1. Turley Student Service Center

      Vital service departments are housed in the Turley Student Services Center. Their staff members help students stay on track, up to date and aware of deadlines to succeed at Fairmont State University.

       

      The following departments, housed in the Turley Student Services Center, work in coordination to serve our most valuable client – our students:

       

      Enrollment Services, Admissions and Recruiting, Housing & Residence Life, International Student Services, Academic Advising Center, Retention Office, Honors Program and Lab, Office of Vice President of Student Services, Disability Services, Counseling Office, and the Office of the University Registrar

    2. Gaston Caperton Center

      The Gaston Caperton Center is a regional campus facility located at 501 West Main Street in downtown Clarksburg, the county seat of Harrison County. The Center serves as a site for delivery of courses for students enrolled in Fairmont State University. The Center serves approximately 1,100 students each week with a current full-time equivalency of 650 students. Course offerings allow students to complete the general studies requirements for all Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degrees. Varied course offerings allow students to make progress toward degree completion in several academic areas. The Center also hosts Early-Admission courses (high-school students taking college courses).

       

      The Center is housed in a 36,000-square-foot facility which consists of 15 classrooms--including three computer labs, two science labs, a physical-therapy-assistant lab, general meeting rooms, and the Teaching & Learning Commons. Over one hundred computers are available for instruction and general student use. In addition to courtesy Internet ports, wireless Internet access is available throughout the building. Common areas include two student lounge areas, one faculty lounge, a portico seating area, and an adjacent walled courtyard area with bench and wall seating.

      With dedicated full and part-time faculty, modern classroom and instructional-support facilities and easy access, the Gaston Caperton Center continues to be a focal point of higher education in the greater Harrison County area.

    3. Robert C. Byrd Aerospace Center

      The Robert C. Byrd National Aerospace Education Center (NAEC) was established in the fall of 1993 in support of the north central West Virginia aerospace industry. The center is housed in a 54,000 sq. ft. state-of –the-art facility located in the Mid-Atlantic Aerospace Complex at the North Central West Virginia Airport in Bridgeport, West Virginia. The center operates two 10,000 square foot heated, lighted aircraft maintenance and flight hangers and one 3,400 square foot unheated aircraft storage hanger. NAEC faculty members are recruited across a broad spectrum of aerospace, to include: airline, corporate aviation, military, general aviation, and manufacturing.
