    1. Gibson Quad

      Gibson Quad is home to beautiful live oaks and has plenty of seating and outdoor wifi. Students can enjoy studying, chatting, or just sitting under the tree canopy. Make your way from the Academic or A-Quad to Gibson Hall along Gibson Quad. 
       

    2. Academic Quad

      The "front of campus" as it's called is the Academic Quad and home to most of Tulane's academic buildings. You can find students reading  or working under a tree or gathering on benches and adirondack between classes. 
       
      Also known as "A-Quad," this beautiful outdoor space is home to many of our campus live oaks and is always a shady and cool spot to hang out during the day. 
       

    3. Native Garden

      The Louisiana Native Garden is a welcoming place to gather and learn.  It features native plants and trees best suited for our climate and a natural stormwater runoff system.   By capturing and slowly releasing rainwater into a standard drainage system, the native garden's green substructure will lessen the demand on our engineered infrastructure.

    4. Newcomb Quad

      The Newcomb Quad is adjacent to the Berger Family Lawn and lies in front of Newcomb Hall. It is surrounded by live oak trees and is a great spot to lay out and read, get some sun, or play sports. These live oaks were transported from Newcomb's original campus as saplings and are still growing strong 100 years later. These beautiful oaks provide pockets of peaceful shade around a quad that is open for playing sports or laying out.  In between Newcomb Hall and the quad sits Benenson Plaza.  This raised outdoor landmark was the gift of Benenson family and it features seating with umbrellas for gathering and studying.

    5. Reily Student Recreation Center

      Students have access to the Reily Center, which features an Olympic-size indoor pool and diving area, an outdoor social pool and sun deck, several gymnasiums, an indoor track, racquetball courts, a weight room, saunas, aerobics studios and pool tables.       Tulane Campus Recreation, part of Tulane's Student Affairs Division of Campus Health and Wellness, promotes personal growth through recreational and wellness opportunities for the Tulane community. We are dedicated to fostering students' physical and social development, lifelong learning, respect, and cultural diversity in a supportive environment.

       

      Tulane Campus Recreation’s aquatic facilities include an Olympic-sized indoor pool and a seasonal outdoor Social Pool. Whether you’re interested in relaxing by the Social Pool, laying out on the sun deck, or swimming laps for exercise, our aquatics facilities offer the space and flexibility for various activities.

       

    6. Lavin-Bernick Center

      The LBC is the hub of student life on Tulane's campus. It houses many administrative offices, meeting spaces, study spaces, and other services.

       
      The LBC is home to our Barnes and Noble bookstore, the LBC Food Court and other shops. The shops include a FedEx Kinkos, a Whitney Bank, and the Technology Connection.

      The lower floor houses the Student Organizations Center, Student Affairs, The Tulane Hullaballoo and the WTUL radio station.
       
      The original University Center was built in 1959 by local firm Curtis and Davis, and the new expansion of the LBC was made possible in part through a generous gift from the Lavin-Bernick family. The renovation was done in 2016 by architects Waggonner and Ball.
