      1. Josephine Louise House

Josephine Louise Hall, affectionately known as JOLO or JL, stands as one of the original buildings on the Newcomb campus, paying homage to the school's benefactress, Mrs. Josephine Louise Lemonnier Newcomb. Initially designated for women, JOLO transitioned to include all genders in 2021, while still serving as a residence for first-year students. The hall offers a mix of single and double occupancy rooms, each with unique characteristics such as old-fashioned casement windows, high ceilings, and mounted bookshelves. Many rooms boast distinctive layouts, deviating from standard dimensions, while all include a sink and mirror.

JOLO is also home to the Spark and Current Residential Learning Communities, fostering academic and social engagement among residents.

JL is one of the four original buildings on the Newcomb campus. Since it is a historic building, the rooms are unique and do not have standard dimensions. The rooms come with large closets, high ceilings, and a sink in the room.

The Greenbaum desk operates round-the-clock, providing assistance with key/access matters, security, and general inquiries. Residents of Josephine Louise can reach out to the Greenbaum desk at 504-865-6802 for support.
