      1. Thompson Hall

Thompson Hall, together with Harned Hall, forms Puget Sound's science center. Hands-on labs and learning spaces bring students and professors together to conduct research in animal physiology, fluid mechanics, science computing, and more. Classroom equipment includes a seismograph, a Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer, a nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer, scanning and transmission electron microscopes, and a high-speed refrigerated centrifuge.

The Puget Sound Museum of Natural History, located on the first floor of Thompson Hall, is a treasure-trove with more than 80,000 vertebrate and plant specimens, and one of the world's most important bird wing collections. Founded in 1930 it is the only natural history museum dedicated to research and education in a liberal arts college.
