Becht Hall
Welcome to Clarion University! We’re excited to welcome you onto campus. Founded in 1867, Clarion is a proud member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. Known as the Autumn Leaf Capital, Clarion is located in the rolling hills of Western Pennsylvania. With 4,500 students attending the university, our diverse campus brings in students from every county in Pennsylvania, 42 states and 15 different countries. We offer over 175 academic degree programs here at the main campus in Clarion, our Venango Campus in Oil City, and worldwide online programs.
Carlson Library
One of our most frequented buildings on campus, Carlson Library provides many resources to help you become a successful student here at Clarion. Our librarians are on-hand to assist you in finding resources and navigating your way through all four floors. With a coffee shop, study lounges, printers and a children's book section for our Education majors, you can find just about everything you need right here. With multiple computer labs, both PC and Mac, laptops and iPads for you to use, the library is a great place to work alone or with a group. The University Art Gallery, located in the lower level of Carlson Library, is run by the art department and presents two to three exhibitions of contemporary art a year.
Stevens Hall
Stevens Hall houses our nationally accredited College of Education, Health and Human Services. With our state-of-the-art Mac Lab, smart board technology, and out of the classroom experiences, our Education and Rehabilitative Science majors are sought after by school districts and Human Service agencies locally, regionally and nationally.
Davis Hall
Home to our Department of English and Modern Languages, Davis Hall features out literary and arts journal, Tobeco, as well as the Language Lab. The Language Lab provides any student the opportunity to complete audio and oral language assignments.
Grunenwald Science & Technology Center
The Grunenwald Science & Technology Center, or the STC as we call it, houses our STEM and pre-professional programs. This building has numerous hands-on experiences for our students such as the Planetarium, a Scanning Electronic Microscope, multiple labs and our infamous 'fish bowl' classrooms!
Harvey Hall
The original campus gymnasium, Harvey Hall is now home to the Psychology & Women's Studies departments. Loaded with smartboard technology, Harvey provides plenty of in-the classroom learning.
Waldo S. Tippin Gymnasium & Natatorium
Tippin Gymnasium is the official home to our 14 NCAA Divison II sports and our DI wrestling team. A $43 million renovation just wrapped up on the building in 2020.The updated facility has a brand new arena, new natatorium for competition swimming events; a multi-purpose auxiliary gym; a wrestling room; a two-story, glass-enclosed strength and conditioning facility; a dance and yoga studio; and state-of-the-art classrooms and athletic training center.
Marwick Boyd Fine Arts Center
Our Marwick-Boyd Fine Arts Center boasts the Marwick-Boyd Auditorium and Little Theatre. The facility is home programs in Visual Art, Theater and Music aimed to prepare students for careers as artists, designers and performers. Our music department offers ensembles such as marching band and symphonic band, concert and chamber choir. The theatre department typically produces ten productions a year, including our spring musical and summer theatre. The art department provides plenty of hands on opportunities through our ceramics, fiber and fabric, and painting studios as well as our outdoor kiln.
Becker Hall
Becker Hall is where you'll find the Communication Department as well as the Computer Information Science Department. Home to Eagle Media Productions, our student-led production house, students have the opportunity to get involved with the student-operated television studio CU-TV, the university's student-operated FM radio station WCUC-FM The Clutch and the student-operated newspaper, The Clarion Call. Our Computer Information Science students have the opportunity to design, manage and secure systems for mobile, web, desktop and mainframe platforms. With 100% job placement, our students are sought after by companies like UPMC, Dataforma, Sheetz and Amazon to name a few.
Student Recreation Center & Outdoor Fitness Court
The Student Recreation Center provides students with many opportunities to stay active! With three full sized courts, a weight room, cardio equipment, indoor track, dance/yoga studio and rock climbing wall, there is something for everyone. Our intramural sports and club sports are offered through the rec center as well. Take a look here for more information regarding Campus Recreation. The Clarion Fitness Court is a 32-by-32-foot, open-air facility – the first National Fitness Court in Pennsylvania. Directly outside of the rec center, the outdoor fitness court allows students to take advantage of the weather while working out!
Gemmell Student Complex
The location for most campus activities, Gemmell Student Complex is home to various offices, organizations, and activities that support student life on campus. The complex features our food court, a coffee shop, lounge, event space, racquetball courts and the University Center for Leadership and Involvement. There are student-led events held in Gemmell throughout the year.
Keeling Hall
Students majoring in Speech Language Pathology can be found taking courses in Keeling. The Speech and Hearing Clinic is also in this building and provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to children and adults with speech and language disorders. This free on-cite clinic provides opportunities for students to work with clients ranging 18 months to geriatric patients. With our nationally accredited undergraduate and graduate degree, students can complete the entire Speech Pathology program here on campus.
Ralston Hall
Home to our nationally ranked Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Ralston offers a newly renovated simulation lab and nursing classrooms. Our BSN students experience hours of hands-on simulation lab experience starting their freshman year.
Campus View Hilltop Suites
Campus View Suites is one of the two Hilltop Suite options for students to choose from. Campus View and its twin, Valley View offer students a great on campus suite style housing option. With a common living room and either one or two bedrooms, students share a bedroom and bathroom with one other student. The Hilltop Suites are air conditioned, fully furnished and wireless. Each building has a kitchenette and laundry on the main floor, as well as community lounges on each floor.

Eagle Commons Dining Hall
Hungry? Look no further! Eagle Commons offers buffet-style dining with lots of great options. With a 19 day meal rotation, there is always something for everyone and students won't be bored with the meal selection either. With a salad bar, dessert & ice cream station, Italian area, grill, Custom Kitchen (avoiding gluten) and Vegan Station, there is always a variety to choose from. Learn more about Eagle Commons.
Founders Hall
One of our original buildings on campus, Founders Hall houses the Department of Social Sciences, the Anthropology Lab, a jewelry studio and visual arts classroom. Filled with smart-classrooms, this beautiful building is full of artifacts that many of our students have found during our summer Archaeological Field Research digs.
Suites on Main
Suites on Main is our newest style of on campus housing. Offering private and semi-private housing options, each style houses a maximum of 2 students in a suite with 1 bathroom. There are laundry facilities and large lounge areas on each floor. Similar to our Hilltop Suites, Suites on Main are air conditioned, fully furnished and wireless. As an extension of Main Street, the first floor levels include shops such as Starbucks and the University Book Store, as well as a movie theatre, classrooms and meeting rooms.

Still Hall is where you'll find our AACSB internationally accredited College of Business Administration and Information Sciences. This facility is equipped with a variety of classroom styles, state of the art computer labs and a trade room with scrolling stock market tracker. Our business program provides Alumni Mentors to our undergraduate students and currently has a 96% placement rate for graduates!
Memorial Stadium
The Memorial Stadium Complex provides the official home for football, women's soccer, women's track and cross country, baseball and softball.
