NIU is collaborating with Trane Technologies, a global climate innovator, to implement a comprehensive energy-saving and carbon-emissions-reduction program on campus.
Upgrades will be made to a large number of buildings on NIU’s main campus with a suite of energy-saving solutions, including LED lighting, water conservation measures, building weatherization improvements, solar photovoltaic installations, EV charging stations, thermal energy storage for cooling, high-efficiency heating and cooling system upgrades and smart HVAC building controls.
