        Built in 1919, this hip Downtown hotel, which once provided rooms to legendary bank robber John Dillinger, is a 2-minute walk from the Amtrak train station.

         

        Basic rooms with traditional furnishings offer vintage radios and 1930s-style phones that connect to a real switchboard. WiFi is free. There are no TVs.

        A cafe serves eclectic American cuisine, and there are several lively bars with weeknight happy hours. There's also a dance club with live music, a funky hair salon and a private guest patio.
