BeAM@Carolina is a network of makerspaces where students, faculty, and staff can join the University maker community to design and create physical objects for education, research, entrepreneurship, and recreation. The network offers access to emerging technologies such as 3D printing, 3D scanning, wood and metalworking shops, as well as sewing, soldering, electronics, and prototyping tools. Users can participate in open studios, training sessions, workshops, and host classes and group activities.

BeAM@Kenan Science Library is located on the ground floor of Venable Hall in Room G301. This makerspace offers a variety of resources, including 3D printing, 3D scanning, sewing, soldering, electronics, and prototyping tools, as well as a group work space. The space also supports entrepreneurship and design and modeling projects.
