        1. The Knot (Le Noeud)

          The Kim Hamisky sculpture The Knot (Le Noeud) is located outside the Genetic Medicine Research Building.

          The Knot was given as part of Dr. Hugh A. “Chip” McAllister’s $10 million commitment to the University. This gift includes a collection of nearly 50 works of art for the Ackland Art Museum’s permanent collection, as well as funds to expand an endowment dedicated to heart disease research at the School of Medicine.
