The Knot (Le Noeud) sculpture is located outside the Genetic Medicine Research Building.
The Knot is an addition to the front of the Genetic Medicine Research Building as part of Dr. Hugh A. “Chip” McAllister’s $10 million commitment to the University. This gift includes a collection of nearly 50 works of art for the Ackland Art Museum’s permanent collection, as well as funds to expand an endowment dedicated to heart disease research at the School of Medicine.
