The Artsy Lifestyle sign is in the Alumni Sculpture Garden. The Alumni Sculpture Garden showcases temporary installations of sculpture by students and alumni on the University grounds.
Artist Statement
"The Artsy Lifestyle has been a favorite because it is a bit of a cheeky declaration that while art can be glamorous and seductive (as implied by the neon), it requires thought and study to arrive at meaning and intention. To read The Artsy Lifestyle, one has to follow the color rather than conventional line breaks of text. Ultimately, that is the work of the viewer. The artist’s job is to question conventions and subvert expectations."
