Description
The San Antonio Water System (SAWS) has begun their project to replace a sanitary sewer line along a portion of Shook Ave. starting Friday, February 14, 2025.
Impact to campus
Limited parking:
The contractor will additional space in Lot X to be able to turn the rock saw around to cut from the opposite direction to keep from severing utilities installed perpendicular to Shook Ave.
- Parking spaces along Shook Ave. and the first row of Lot X will not be available for use for the duration of the project. Please utilize Prassel Garage as an alternative.
- All vehicles must be removed from those parking spaces. ANY VEHICLE LEFT IN THOSE PARKING SPACES ALONG SHOOK AVE. AND LOT X AFTER 12:00 AM FRIDAY, FEB 14 2025 WILL BE TOWED BY THE SAWS' CONTRACTOR AT THE OWNER'S EXPENSE.
Loud noise
SAWS will be using a large rock saw to excavate. This work will impact the residents in Prassel, Lightner, Thomas, South Hall, and North Hall. Those residents will be able to hear the excavation, and at times, may be able to feel it.
