Erected in 1889, Draper housed a wide variety of functions, from dorm rooms to dining rooms to music rooms, back in the day when it was one of the three centerpiece buildings of Abbot Academy. Today, it continues to serve multiple purposes, now housing faculty residences as well as the Office of Information Technology, the offices of the Institute for Recruitment of Teachers (IRT), and the Office of Physical Plant (OPP). There are also two meeting rooms here, McKeen Rooms 1 and 2, which are used frequently by staff, visitors, and alumni.
