         The Bud and Val Peterson Residence Hall

         The Hall is named in honor of former Georgia Tech President Bud Peterson and his wife, Val, recognizing their lasting impact on the Institute.

         Opened in fall 2026, this residence hall for first-year students is located on West Campus along Northside Drive, between Eighth and Ninth streets.

         This state-of-the-art residence hall spans 191,000 square feet and offers 860 beds in double-occupancy rooms. On-premise storage accommodates 188 bikes. The building includes a gym, collaborative learning areas, community lounges, and a shared kitchen and laundry. The Tech Market on the building’s first floor is Georgia Tech’s first 24-hour cashierless, self-service market.
