      1. Park & Ride (Civic Auditorium Garage B) Staff/Commuter

        Garage B at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum is undergoing repairs and an inspection. The project began in August, with activity increasing in September. This work is expected to continue through December and into early January.

        If Garage B is closed when you arrive — or if you would rather avoid the repairs — please park in Garage C or the Honor Our Troops Drive surface lot. Your Park and Ride permit is valid in both locations.

        • Garage C: Across the courtyard, directly behind the Civic Auditorium and Coliseum, with 556 spaces.

        • Honor Our Troops Drive surface lot: Between Garages B and C, with 234 spaces.

        Portions of Garage B will be closed or cordoned off during repair work, including repairs to damaged concrete and structural bracing.

        You may encounter locked gates or restricted access in certain areas. Access may change as work progresses, and detailed schedules for repairs are not always available in advance.

        • Available to faculty, staff, and commuter students at a discounted rate of $99 annually.
        • Parking is located at Garage B at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum, Monday-Friday between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Aug. 17 - May 16.
        • Dedicated UT Park & Ride Shuttle, every 10 minutes, from the Civic Coliseum to Gate 21 at Neyland Stadium. Gate 21 is also the transfer point for the Cross Campus, Neyland Express, and UT Research Park bus routes.
        • If Park & Ride permit holders need to park after 5 p.m., they may park in unreserved areas. Commuter Park & Ride (PR) may park in unreserved commuter or staff. Faculty/Staff Park & Ride (PRS) may park in unreserved staff areas.
        • Additionally, students needing to leave their car at the Civic Coliseum after 5:30 p.m. may park in the overflow surface lot on Honor Our Troops Dr. After the T Bus stops running, students may ride KAT buses to Knoxville Station to return to their cars in the overflow lot or use the on-demand T Link shuttle service.
        • When full academic operations are not underway (summer sessions and breaks), the PR and PRS permits are valid in unreserved areas as noted above.
