Peyton Field in Baker Stadium is named in honor of Joe Peyton ’67, ’71, who was an All-American student-athlete before becoming a track and field coach at Puget Sound. Joe was a member of the Department of Physical Education and Athletics faculty for 29 years, retiring in 1997.
