      1. Smith Hall

         Student Residence. Built in 1962 as "South Hall" and re-named in 1972, Smith Hall was dedicated to Ward A. Smith by his wife, Rhea- Houston Smith, and his son, class of ’61 alumnus C. Mark Smith. Ward Smith was a local businessman—banker, realtor, builder—interested in youth and in the development and educational excellence of the University of Puget Sound.
