        1. Bruff Commons

Bruff Commons was designed and built in 1963 by John M. Lachin, Jr., and Favrot and Grimball architects. Bruff served as the dining hall, post office, and had the "Bruff Stuff" store.

Students enjoyed their last dinner served at the Bruff Commons Dining Room on Aug. 20, 2019. Bruff, built in the 1960s, was torn down and replaced with a residential quad. The Malkin Sacks Commons, a $55 million, 77,000-square-foot facility that serves as a studying and meeting place for students, a dining facility, and the new home of the Newcomb Institute, opened Aug. 21 as Bruff's replacement.
