        1. Alfred H. Clifford Mathematics Research Library

The A. H. Clifford Mathematics Research Library is an independent unit within the Tulane University Libraries, located on the 4th floor of Gibson Hall in the Department of Mathematics. Rededicated in 1994 in honor of Alfred Hoblitzelle Clifford, the library's initial development and expansion were made possible by a $575,000 grant from the Ford Foundation to Tulane's Department of Mathematics, awarded in June 1964 and expiring on December 31, 1967. Today, Howard-Tilton Memorial Library funds the acquisition of books and journal subscriptions for the Math collection.

The library houses over 31,000 volumes and approximately 370 current journal subscriptions, with electronic access to more than 300 titles. It serves the faculty and graduate students of the Mathematics Department, as well as other sections of Tulane University engaged in mathematics-oriented research and the broader New Orleans academic community.
