           About

A student project by the Bruin Birding Club. They got a grant from the National Audubon Program plants for birds where they were able to develop a garden that is centered around pollinators. From that, they were able to strip the ivy from this region (pictured in the third photo) and replace it with native plants. They recently got a second national grant from the Theodore Payne Foundation, which they have more funds to add more plants to the area and continue removing the ivy out of there. The Facilities Management Ground Team have worked with them in this project and have been supportive. This canyon demonstrates an area where we can increase human interaction with nature.
