About
EARTH stands for Environmental Awareness, Recycling, and Terrestrial Health); they are part of the division of the Student Wellness Commission(SWC). They address the health-associated aspects of environmental concern by providing students a unique perspective on how to find solutions to these concerns. With a holistic approach to sustainability that aims to address all aspects of environmental concerns, SWC believes that integrating sustainability into student life is integral to a clean environment that fosters positive student well-being.
One of SWC's most impactful projects with water conservation was when they were able to receive funding from TGIF to purchase these nozzles that can be installed onto existing taps to save 80% of water in public restrooms. This project consisted of installing them into 15 Kerckhoff restroom faucets and 40 Ackerman faucets, totalling up to 55 faucets.
