           About

Zero Waste at UCLA  is part of the goal to divert 90% of waste from the landfill and to have a 25% reduction of waste per capita from 2016 from 2016 FY levels by 2025. This initiative ensures that UCLA's comprehensive recycling and waste management program aids in this goal. Additionally, create Waste Data Reports and Plans in order to evaluate and monitor their progress. In order to incorporate the entire UCLA community, they have tips that help one live more sustainably on their website. As of 2025, their most recent initiatives include: Move Out Collection, Single-Use Plastics Policy, and Centralized Waste. Students also can be a part of this team by applying to be Zero Waste Student Ambassadors.
