UCLA operates a S.A.F.E. center for electronic waste disposal, where students can dispose of inkjet and laserjet cartridges and cell phones. These disposal boxes are located in the student union, some libraries, and the recreation center. The UCLA Software Central operates DVD and CD recycling. The UCLA store also has a center where students can bring in e-waste (old computer monitors, camcorders, game systems, etc) and trade them for student store gift cards.
