This is a bioswale: A project where the facilities Management team took out the grass area here to make the space permeable and into an outdoor space. As a bioswale, it is able to contain water during storms and flows it back down into the groundwater. It is built through a layer of fine soil to aggregate sediment that naturally filters the water. This is a perfect example of a natural water reclamation system.
