About
The Stone Canyon Creek runs until it disappears underground into a storm drain pipe. This creek used to be a dominant feature but over the years it has been rerouted as the campus has expanded. UCLA and Santa Monica Baykeepers are leading the effort to restore this creek to its natural beauty. In 2008, 241 volunteers from UCLA and surrounding communities put in over 600 hours of work replacing invasive species with native plants. Currently in the works is a sign for the creek that informs visitors about its restoration.
